Origins: KaKaWa, Chocolhaa, Xocolatl, Cacao are all proper names for the sacred and revered Cacao bean of the cacao fruit. Used for centuries by indigenous South American tribes such as the Olmecs, Mayans, Aztecs, and Incas to make "chocolate" This sacred fruit has a white pulp that is actually quite sweet, the "chocolate" part of cacao is actually considered the seed or bean, and from the bean we receive that rich dark chocolate cacao after the shell of the bean is removed. Drinking or eating the cacao bean directly connects us with the ancient spirit known as Mother spirit we call planet Earth, the essence of cacao, which is one with pachamama. Her motherly, earthy presence is felt in the appearance of the cacao's rich brown color that resembles pachamama's fertile soil. The bitter yet tantalizing flavor reminds us of the Divine Feminine essence that is Wild, Raw,Sweet, Bitter, Beautiful and Abundant.
